Luxor

The world's greatest open air museum, Luxor lies on shore of the Nile to become the most significant remaining city of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Luxor played an important political, military and religious role in Ancient Egypt as it was the capital city of Egypt during that time. During the pharos period, Luxor was the hub of architecture and arts that were reflected in the massive temples that astonishes people all over the world up till now. Luxor Temple, Temple of Karnak, Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens and the Western Valley are the famous visiting sites in Luxor, where thousands of tourists come and visit monthly.

Inside the temple of Abu Simbel, the solar phenomena that occurs twice a year, attracts thousands of tourists who used to come and watch the unique wonder. On 22nd of February and 22ndof October, the sun rays illuminate inside the temple and became perpendicular on the statue of Ramses II,Amun-Re and Re-Herakhte, whereas the statue of Ptah (the god of underworld) remain in darkness.

Beside the temples, tombs and the remains of the ancient Egyptian city, there is the main attraction in Luxor which was mainly the reason of ancient civilization, the Nile. Apparently, the Nile in Luxor is gorgeous, that's why the Nile Cruises are so widely spread in Luxor. Tourists have the opportunity to take an inspiring trip in the River Nile, while watching the remains of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Luxor has many luxurious hotels where tourists can enjoy visiting the ancient city while spending comfortable time in their hotels. Iberotel Luxor is one of the famous hotels in Luxor. Nile Cruises are mainly preferred by the tourists as they spend their time enjoying the Nile stunning view.
